We have been very busy fostering Fikru's social life. He has such amazing friends. They leave me at a loss for words...and I wish I could bring them all home with us. However, I shutter to think of what they would think of our teenage culture in Canada. More on that later.
Through my cousin, Alison, we have had a friend working behind the scenes on our behalf to try and get our visa issued before our scheduled return flights home. Dealing with our immigration system has been an enlightening experience....one I hope to NEVER repeat!
The good news:
Mihretu's visa has been issued!!!!! Praise God!!!!!!
The other news (I won't say good or bad because I don't know!)
We don't know if we will have it in time to keep our flights next week.
According to CIC......we will not be able to have it until May 16/11
According to our angelic contact.....we may have it Tuesday morning (May 11).
Please pray it comes on Tues.....or sooner!!!!

Hey girl, great to hear things are going so well. I've been checking in to your blog regularly for updates.
Not sure if you have been in contact with the other gals, but at least one of them (that I know of) received confirmation from CIC that her visa would be in E on Monday!!!
