Some things I've learned.....

.....in the last 48 hrs.

1. Don't come out of your room unless you have made your bed (or my son will make it for you)
2. Don't come downstairs unless you are dressed (although Fikru won't tell me to get dressed....he sends the older children back upstairs to get dressed if they are in their PJ's)
3. All boys, (and some men), must be taught to lift the toilet seat!!!! UGH! UGH! UGH!!!
4. My toddler's are spoiled....and their brother is retraining them. *smile*
5. Children in Ethiopia do not whine......and therefore.....children in Canada should not whine or complain.
6. My Ingera making skills suck.
7. Samuel's name is not Samuel.....it is Yeabsira....his given Ethiopian name.
8. I do not say my son's name correctly....it is Fik-rrrrrrrrr(roll that "r") ooo.....and it means LOVE!!!!
10. That we have WAY too many material things in Canada....and in Ethiopia....building relationships is what matters....not how many things we acquire.

I am learning many fabulous lessons from my new son and I am eternally grateful that God placed him in our family.
