Meanwhile....

Back at home....while my husband and brother basked in the hot African sun....I struggled to keep his business running smoothly.
The day after they left for Africa....some of Bruce's employees decided that since the boss was away....they would take an early Christmas break.....which left me working 18 hour days in three different towns....(not to mention I didn't have a clue what I was doing!) But really, how hard could it be???? The phones rung continuously day and night and the only break we had was due to me dropping Bruce's phone in the water while scrubbing a toilet. Of course if you know me...I then had to fish it out and run it under boiling water for a few minutes until I would even attempt to see if it worked....no such luck....or maybe it was divine intervention...giving me time to breathe.

I think back on this time now and am thankful for the distraction. I don't know how I would have survived the two week wait to see my new children. I'm still not sure about all the tears that were shed at the airport....however, I know they were all shed for joy.....but I think the most joy I felt was when I handed all the keys back to my fabulous husband. I will never again say anything negative about the amount of time he invests in his occupation. I just pray that I am never left in that position again!!
