An Earthly treasure....

Yesterday, Kru (Fikru), had his first official appointment at the dentist. Much to my surprise and delight....he still has some baby teeth! So...we will be able to throw them over the roof (Ethiopian) together!!!! As the appointment was ending, Michelle told Kru to choose a toothbrush and and a prize. The prize bin was HUGE and he was a bit overwhelmed and kept asking over and over again if he was really suppose to choose something from this bin. Much to my disappointment (at the time), he chose a ring. I wanted to tell him to choose a parachute man....or a car...or a cool pencil.....but the ring stole his attention. As we left and were approaching our vehicle, he reached for my hand, put the ring on my finger (he thinks it's pure gold) and told me he loved me.
