Weary

I love being a mom...I think that Motherhood is one of the highest callings...and most days there is no place I'd rather be than at home with my family.....enjoying morning coffee with my honey, hearing the pitter patter of little feet, homeschooling my older ones and finding moments to grasp a few snippets from The Word.

Most days....but not today.

Today I'd rather be out for coffee, at church, in Ethiopia, hiding in the garage...anywhere but here.

About 10 days ago we were hit with a nasty virus. My toddlers seem to take SO LONG to recover from these Canadian viruses.

Today, I want to be a health inventor. I will invent the fluid stopper (aka the SNOT catcher). I'm weary from wiping noses....I'm sure we own stock in the "puffs plus" kleenex company. My invention will tape to the upper lip of the little ones and will have an automatic cleaning system...somehow. The worst part of this whole virus is the free flowing fluid. I go from one toddler to the next. Our little man wants nothing more than to be outside, so I comply, and off we go. It must be -40 degrees here and the only benefit to being outside is that the fluid seems to freeze.....therefore, less wiping. On the other hand, our Ethiopian Princess seems to think she has salty ice cubes hanging by her upper lip and enjoys licking them continuously. Then we must return to the house for the dethawing to begin.....and I'm convinced it is like a dam being loosed.

Looking forward to the dry season.....

Corrie, where are your comments sections on all the upper posts? I wanted to comment on your adorable children, but there was no comments button.
